Since the huge earthquake hit Haiti on 12th January 2010, Humanity & Inclusion has continued to work alongside the victims and provide assistance, in particular high quality rehabilitation services.

Raja, from Yemen, is 13 years old. She was looking after the sheep in the mountains when she trod on a mine which exploded and threw her into the air. Her leg was ripped off.

Latin America says Stop Bombing Civilians 12/07/18
The Regional Conference on Protecting Civilians from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas organized by HI, in Santiago, Chile, ended on 6 December. 23 States adopted the Santiago Communiqué expressing concern over the devastating impact on civilians of the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. Well done HI Advocacy team!

Sina works as an occupational therapist at the Basma hospital rehabilitation center in Jordan. Since HI set up a specialist pediatric unit for neurological disorders, she has been working with children with cerebral palsy.

Latin and Central America against the bombing of populated areas 12/04/18
On 5th and 6th December 2018, Humanity & Inclusion will organize a regional conference in Santiago, the capital of Chile, on protecting civilians from bombing. Twenty-six governments and some thirty civil society organizations and international NGOs will attend. The organization hopes to raise awareness of this crucial issue and encourage States to take a stand against the use of explosive weapons in populated areas.

Cluster munitions investments in free-fall 11/30/18
According to the report Worldwide Investments in Cluster Munitions: A Shared Responsibility released on 3rd December by the non-governmental organization PAX, investments in cluster munitions have fallen by two thirds since the last report in May 2017.

Humanity & Inclusion is attending the Meeting of States Parties to the Mine Ban Treaty from 26th - 30th November 2018 in Geneva. The organization is calling on governments to support assistance for landmine victims whose needs have increased dramatically in recent years.

Yemen: "A rocket blew up not far from me" 11/22/18
Twelve-year-old Zakarya is the eighth child of a poor family who live in a small village in northern Yemen. His life changed dramatically when he was injured in a rocket attack and doctors had to amputate his left leg.

Ibrahim lost his leg after being injured by shrapnel in Syria. Now walking again with a prosthesis, he has learnt to do his own repairs. But he is still facing barriers to being employed and his family struggles to get by.
