More than 140,000 people have been contaminated by Covid-19 in Pakistan, which has one of the world’s ten highest daily infection rates. As the country has not implemented lockdown measures, the situation is particularly concerning. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, in Peshawar and Peshawar districts, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) has distributed food kits as well as hygiene and prevention kits to more than 1,840 families.

HI also provided children and their parents with Covid-19 prevention information, including in Afghan refugee camps. The organization also raised the contamination risk awareness of the health unit staff.
