In November 2021, world leaders will gather in the UK for COP26 - a critical summit that will shape the future of people and planet for generations to come.

Without climate action, progress made towards the Global Goals (SDGs) is at risk. It is vital that efforts to address climate change are inclusive of people with disabilities. We know that people with disabilities are disproportionately impacted by climate change but their voices are rarely taken into account.

About Voices for Change

To raise awareness, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) is partnering with the Voices for Change campaign to collect messages for change ahead of COP26 in Glasgow in November.

We need to ensure that leaders feel the pressure to act from people around the world and that they hear the message loud and clear that, from fighting poverty to achieving gender and disability equality, we can’t achieve any of the Global Goals (SDGs) without tackling the Climate Crisis.

The campaign will bring the voices of members of the public together with prominent advocates, campaigners and leaders to back the call to act. HI is working to ensure that the voices of people with disabilities are represented strongly in the campaign, and to build support for disability-inclusive climate action.

Hundreds of people are adding their voices, saying: "I want people with disabilities to partcipate in decisions on climate action!" Will you join us?

What change do you want to see in the world?

We want a world where…

…people with disabilities are treated equally!
…people with disabilities meaningfully participate in decisions on climate action!
…people with disabilities are included in climate change planning!
…people with disabilities are protected in climate-related disasters and other humanitarian emergencies!

How to add your voice for change

To add your voice, all you need to do is visit the Voices for Change website and record your own 15-second audio message saying what change you want to see in the world.

All messages have to be submitted by 15th October and must be in English in order to be included in the campaign.

The voice messages will be brought to life in an interactive online audio visualization by Google Arts and Culture, which will be launched ahead of COP26. The voices will also be showcased in Glasgow at COP26 events and through creative installations.
