Advocate alongside Humanity & Inclusion
HI's humanitarian campaigning is based on our core values of humanity and inclusion, and our direct experience working alongside people living in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster. We believe that disability rights are human rights and that no one should be left behind.
Through our campaigns and the help we’ve received from our supporters, we have seen the incredible impact of people coming together to fight against injustice.
Together we can change the world
When we started campaigning more than 30 years ago, nobody thought a global ban on landmines was possible. But, with the help of supporters around the world, the Mine Ban Treaty was signed in 1997, followed by the ban on cluster munitions in 2008. In 2022, dozens of States endorsed a political declaration against the use of explosive weapons in populated areas.
In tandem with this advocacy work, our experts have cleared millions of these indiscriminate weapons and destroyed them, ensuring that they are no longer a risk to local communities. And, as a result, thousands of lives have been saved. Clearing these weapons has helped to keep children and families safe in their homes and prevent accidents caused by the landmines such as civilians losing arms or legs.
How has this work been possible? Because of people like you, who diligently sign petitions, write to elected officials, and donate to campaigns. Here at Humanity & Inclusion, we’re continuing to run campaigns to support the people we're honored to serve. Information on our current campaigns can be found below.
